Font License Agreement
1. Definitions
“Artolabs”, “we”, “us” means Artolabs, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
“You” means the person or company that purchased or downloaded the Font Software. If you are buying for a company, you confirm that you are authorised to accept this agreement on its behalf.
“Font Software” means the digital font files, in any format, supplied by Artolabs, including any updates we provide to you.
“Licensed Entity” means the single person or company named on the order. A license covers that entity and its employees and contractors, but not its parent, subsidiaries, clients or affiliates unless the license type says so.
“Licensed User” means one person using the Font Software on a computer. The number of Licensed Users you may have is set by the license type you bought.
“Final Work” means the logo, document, image, video, product or other output you create using the Font Software.
2. How this agreement works
2.1 By buying, downloading or installing the Font Software, you accept this agreement. If you do not accept it, do not install or use the files.
2.2 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use the Font Software as described in the license type you purchased (Section 3). Everything not expressly allowed is reserved by Artolabs.
2.3 The license is perpetual, subject to Section 12 (Termination).
2.4 A license is tied to the font and the license type named on your order. Each font needs its own license.
3. License types
Each license below includes the permissions of the Desktop license. The limits shown apply to each license you buy.
| License | What it covers | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Desktop | Installing the font on computers and using it to make finished work: print, packaging, social media images and videos (including YouTube, TikTok, and Reels on your own or your client’s channels, but not paid video advertising), presentations, and merchandise. Logo use needs an Extended or Corporate license. | Up to 5 Licensed Users. No embedding of the font file into software, websites, apps or e-books. |
| Web | Serving the font on a website with the CSS @font-face rule, in WOFF/WOFF2 format. | One domain (and its subdomains). Up to 10,000 page views per month. |
| E-Pub | Embedding the font in electronic publications such as e-books. | Up to 10,000 copies of one title. |
| Mobile Apps | Embedding the font in a mobile application. | Up to 10,000 installs of one app. |
| Broadcast | Use in television, cinema, subscription streaming services, TV advertising, and paid online video advertising (for example video ads on YouTube or social media). | One production (one film, one series season, or one campaign). Further productions need a new license. |
| Extended | Use in a logo or brand mark for one brand, plus use beyond the limits of the licenses above. | One Licensed Entity and one brand per license. Scope beyond logo use is set in writing with Artolabs before purchase. |
| Corporate | Unlimited users, installations, projects, and web views for one Licensed Entity. | Available as National (use in one country) or Worldwide (no territory limit). Includes logo use for the Licensed Entity’s own brands (not its clients’ brands). Does not allow resale of the font. |
3.1 If your use goes beyond the limit of your license (for example, your website passes the monthly page view limit), you must upgrade to the next suitable license before continuing.
3.2 Bundles and font families are licensed per the number of styles listed on your order.
4. What you may do
Within the limits of your license type, you may:
- Install the Font Software on the number of computers covered by your license and use it to create Final Works for yourself or your clients.
- Use the Final Works commercially, including selling products that carry the Final Work (for example, printed goods) in any quantity, unless a limit for your license type says otherwise.
- With an Extended or Corporate licence, use the Font Software in a logo or wordmark. Extended covers one brand (your own or a client’s). Corporate covers the Licensed Entity’s own brands, but not its clients’ brands.
- Make one backup copy of the files.
- Convert the Font Software to outlines (vectors) inside a Final Work for artwork purposes. Outlined letterforms are part of the Final Work, not a font.
5. What you may not do
You may not:
- Share, sell, rent, lend, sublicense, upload or give the Font Software to anyone outside your Licensed Entity, including through file-sharing sites, font libraries, marketplaces, or open repositories.
- Modify, convert, extract, decompile, or reverse engineer the Font Software, or create a new font or font-generating software from it or from its letterforms.
- Rename the font or remove copyright or trademark notices from it.
- Use the Font Software in a way that lets other people extract it, such as including the font file in a template, theme, plugin, website builder kit or design kit sold to others.
- Embed the Font Software in software, apps, websites, games, or e-books unless you hold the matching license in Section 3.
- Use the Final Work, or Artolabs’ name, to suggest that Artolabs endorses you, your company or your product.
- Use the Font Software to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, or to generate fonts using such models.
6. Embedding in documents
You may embed the Font Software in a PDF or similar document only in a read-only, view-and-print mode that prevents others from extracting or editing it, and only to deliver your Final Work. Documents that allow editing, or that include a full font file that can be copied out, are not permitted.
7. Logos and trademarks
7.1 You may use the Font Software to design a logo only under an Extended or Corporate license. Under those licenses, you may register the resulting logo as your own trademark.
7.2 You do not own the font itself. You may not register the font, its name, or its letterforms as a trademark or design right.
8. Ownership
Artolabs and its designers keep all copyright and other intellectual property rights in the Font Software and its name. This agreement gives you a right to use it, not to own it. The Final Work you create belongs to you, apart from the Font Software inside it.
9. Free and demo fonts
9.1 Free or demo fonts are marked as such on the product page. Their license is limited to what the product page says.
9.2 Unless the product page says otherwise, a free font is licensed for personal, non-commercial use only. Commercial use needs a paid license.
9.3 Free fonts may not be redistributed, even if the file is free.
10. Fonts bought elsewhere
If you bought an Artolabs font on a third-party marketplace (for example Creative Market, Envato Elements or MyFonts), the license terms of that marketplace apply to that purchase. This agreement applies to fonts bought directly from the Artolabs website.
11. Updates and support
We may release updated versions. An update is covered by your existing license. We try to answer license questions at hello@artolabs.net but do not promise a response time.
12. Termination
This license ends automatically if you break it. When it ends, you must stop using and delete all copies of the Font Software. Final Works created before termination in line with this agreement may continue to be used, except where your breach concerns those Final Works themselves.
13. Warranty and liability
13.1 The Font Software is provided “as is”. We make reasonable efforts to deliver files that work, but we do not promise that the fonts are error-free or suited to a particular purpose.
13.2 To the extent allowed by law, Artolabs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid for the license.
13.3 All sales are final. Because the Font Software is a digital download, we do not give refunds or exchanges once an order is completed. If a file is corrupted or will not open, contact us at hello@artolabs.net and we will resend a working copy.
14. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

Illustration & Graphic Asset License Agreement
This part covers illustrations, vector art, graphic packs, patterns, and other design assets (“Assets”) bought from the Artolabs website.
1. Definitions
“Assets” means the digital illustrations, graphics, and design files supplied by Artolabs, in any format.
“Final Product” means anything you create that includes the Assets: a website, ad, packaging, product, publication, video, or merchandise item.
“You”, “Artolabs”: as defined in the Font License Agreement.
2. How this agreement works
2.1 By buying or downloading the Assets, you accept this agreement.
2.2 We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Assets as described in the license type you bought (Section 3), subject to Section 11 (Termination).
2.3 You get the right to use the Assets. You do not get ownership of them. Artolabs keeps the copyright.
3. License types
The limits below apply to each license you buy. A license covers one Licensed Entity, as defined in the Font License Agreement.
| License | What it covers | Limits |
|---|---|---|
| Personal | Non-commercial use: personal projects, learning, gifts, private wall art, and non-monetised social media. | No selling or promotion of a business. No client work. No use in a logo. |
| Standard Commercial | Commercial use in digital and printed Final Products for you or one client: websites, social media, video content on social media and video platforms, ads, presentations, packaging, book covers, and similar. | One Licensed Entity (the person or company named on the order, including its employees and contractors). Up to 500 units of each Final Product sold or distributed. No print-on-demand. No use in a logo or brand mark. |
| Extended Commercial | Everything in Standard Commercial, plus unlimited units, print-on-demand, merchandise at scale, and use as part of a logo or brand mark (see Section 5). | One Licensed Entity. Unlimited units. |
| Custom / Enterprise | Exclusive rights, unlimited use, or special terms for a brand or agency. | Agreed in writing before purchase. |
3.1 A “unit” means one copy of a physical or digital product that includes the Assets and is sold or distributed.
3.2 If your use outgrows your license, you must upgrade to the next suitable license before continuing.
4. What you may do
Within the limits of your license, you may:
- Edit, resize, recolour, crop and combine the Assets to create a Final Product that adds your own creative work.
- Use the Final Product commercially (Standard Commercial and above).
- Use the Final Product for one client, if your license is a commercial one. You must buy a separate license for each additional client.
- Make a backup copy of the files.
- Show the Assets within a Final Product in your portfolio.
Credit to Artolabs is appreciated but not required.
5. What you may not do
You may not:
- Resell, share, sublicense, distribute or upload the Assets as they are, or with only small changes, including as stock files, templates, UI kits, clip art packs, or print-on-demand “design files” that let buyers extract the artwork.
- Use the Assets as the main item of what you sell. For example, selling prints, posters, or stickers where the art is the product, unless you hold an Extended Commercial license.
- Use the Assets in a logo or brand mark under a Personal or Standard Commercial license. Use in a logo is allowed only under Extended Commercial, and even then the Assets are licensed non-exclusively, so you may not register the Assets themselves as a trademark or design right.
- Claim you created the Assets, or imply you own them.
- Use the Assets to train, fine-tune or evaluate artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, or to generate artwork that copies the style of the Assets.
- Use the Assets in unlawful, hateful, defamatory, or sexually explicit material.
- Upload the Assets to a marketplace, NFT platform, or print-on-demand store as a ready-made design, unless your license expressly allows it.
6. Original work
The Assets are original works created by Artolabs and do not contain third-party fonts, photos, or other licensed elements.
7. Ownership
Artolabs keeps all copyright and other rights in the Assets. Your additions in a Final Product belong to you, but the underlying Assets remain ours.
8. Warranty and liability
8.1 The Assets are provided “as is”. We take care to create original work, but we cannot guarantee that the Assets suit your purpose.
8.2 To the extent allowed by law, Artolabs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the price you paid.
8.3 All sales are final. Because the Assets are a digital download, we do not give refunds or exchanges once an order is completed. If a file is corrupted or will not open, contact us at hello@artolabs.net and we will resend a working copy.
9. Assets bought elsewhere
Assets bought on a third-party marketplace (for example Creative Market or Envato Elements) are governed by that marketplace’s license terms.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
11. Termination
This license ends automatically if you break it. You must then stop using the Assets and delete all copies. Final Products published before termination in line with this agreement may stay in circulation, except where the breach concerns those Final Products.
