About Us
OUR VIEW
Type is read, but it can also be heard and felt.
The shape of a letter carries tone, weight, and intention, much like a carved or drawn line. The same is true of an illustration. We make fonts and illustrations for people who notice that difference.
the studio
Artolabs is an independent type foundry and illustration studio based in Indonesia, creating distinctive typefaces and illustrations for contemporary visual communication.
We explore expressive forms and refined details, building work that holds up across branding, editorial design, packaging, digital media, and creative projects. Each piece is developed in-house with a focus on character and usability, and with the same care as a work of art, shaped until it carries a voice of its own.
